 She can dress like a Roman Goddess or
a fine lady of the manor, the "Domina" of the house.
You can find many Roman style costumes ranging from
simple and inexpensive to sexy and high quality.
Make sure to wear some Roman type sandals or ballet
slippers.
Do a light make-up, they didn't have much
in the way of cosmetics back then. The popular look
was a pale face using arsenic powder, berry stained
lips and mascara made from lamp black and grease.
Fortunately for us ladies, we have better make-up
now!
For the Man, he can be anything from
a Gladiator to Caesar himself! Same goes for him,
sandals for shoes whatever costume he chooses. A
gilded laurel wreath for his head. Maybe a fake
spear if he's going as a Legionnaire.
You might want to go as Caesar and
his queen, a more common couple like shopkeeper and
wife or a military man and wife. You could also go
as a Roman God and Goddess. There was a pantheon of
them, after all!
